Traverse Bay Open Water Challenge

The Traverse Bay Open Water Challenge is in its third year, and 2008 should be the best year yet! Swimmers have the opportunity to challenge themselves in the crystal clear waters of West Bay here in Traverse City. Are you up to the Challenge?

Traverse Bay Open Water Challenge
Saturday, August 16th, 2008 (postponed from June 28th because of cold water temperatures in West Grand Traverse Bay).
Grand Traverse Bay - Bryant Park
Entry fees: $25 if received by June 2nd. $35 on the day of registration. If you are not a USS or USMA registered swimmer, there is an additional $10 single meet open water athlete registration fee that is required.
Race distances include a .5 mile race for 10 and under swimmers; 1 mile for 11-12 swimmers; 1.5 mile for 13-14; 1 mile for Masters; 2 miles for 15-18; and 2 miles for Masters and 19 and over swimmers. Wet suits may be worn in any event but will be scored separately in a wet suit category. Download a copy of the meet packet with full meet details here.
